Browser storage

The save-guide control stores article identifiers in localStorage using a key specific to this domain. This lets the saved-guides page remember your choices on the same browser. Use “Save this guide” again to remove an item, or clear this site's browser storage to remove the whole list. Storage is optional; pages can be read without it.

Search and reader notes

Search runs in your browser against the local article index. A query may appear in the page URL, so do not include private information in search terms. The reader-note controls copy or download your draft on your device; they do not transmit the draft to this website. Sending an email is a separate action through your chosen email service.

Email correspondence

If you email [email protected], your email service and the receiving email service process the message, sender address and any information or attachments you choose to include. Correspondence is used to understand and respond to the request, investigate corrections or rights concerns, and maintain necessary records. Avoid sending sensitive personal information.

Retention and your choices

Correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the request and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. You may ask about access to, correction of or deletion of personal information in your correspondence by writing to [email protected]. Applicable rights and any necessary retention depend on the law and the circumstances of the request. Describe the request without sending identity documents unless an appropriate verification method has been agreed.

You can remove saved guides using the save control or clear this site's storage in your browser. You can also delete downloaded notes from your device. Clearing browser storage does not delete email held by an email provider or a message you have sent.

Analytics and advertising

This site currently does not load analytics or advertising scripts, set advertising cookies or request fonts from external services. Fonts and content photographs are served with the site. The ads.txt file, where present, identifies authorized advertising sellers; it does not itself load an advertisement, collect information or establish that ads are displayed.

Hosting and third parties

The service hosting this website may process ordinary request logs, including IP addresses, requested URLs and browser information, to deliver pages and maintain security. External source and license links take you to another provider, whose own privacy practices apply. Those external sites do not receive a search query or reader-note draft through the local controls.
